Willow Lake Funeral Directors at Aylesbury Vale Crematorium

Funeral Directors in Aylesbury

Willow Lake Aylesbury offers personal, intimate, and respectful funeral services for your loved ones, at an affordable price of £1995, with no hidden fees or expensive extras. Funeral services with Willow Lake can be either secular or religious, and the contents are entirely up to you, with any music, poetry, stories or photographs decided by you, for your loved one.

The Aylesbury crematorium is a peaceful choice for a funeral. The crematorium is located on the edge of Watermead Lake and bordered by the River Thame, and as such, water features heavily in the crematorium’s location creating a tranquil atmosphere.

The chapel itself is a circular building, made from natural materials and furnished in oak, in keeping with the surrounding countryside. The building is light and open, with large windows capturing picturesque views across the surrounding lake, bringing the outside in.

Willow Lake will provide you with a celebrant. In most cases, the celebrant will be the person who conducts the service. Leading up to the funeral they will support you and guide you through the preparations. They will help you with planning the funeral service, and tailor it to suit your unique needs and preferences. The celebrant will help to structure the service, and assist you with selecting the music, any poetry and also with writing the speeches. The service can be religious or secular.

The venue has approximately 75 allocated parking spaces, and the crematorium can seat 40 people.

The chapel also has a state of the art media centre, allowing for live webcasts of the service and an almost unlimited music library, as well as a Viscount organ for those favouring a more traditional service. All forms of live music are also welcome at Willow Lake Aylesbury.

Following your service with Willow Lake, the ashes can be delivered to you in a wooden urn with an engraved nameplate, included within our standard price of £1995. Or alternatively can be scattered for you in a peaceful, natural setting. Willow Lake Aylesbury is also home to a beautiful Garden of Remembrance, where ashes can be buried and memorials purchased. The garden is a serene sanctuary, initially nestled into a wooded hillside, the garden goes on to meander along the hilltop towards lower lawns. The garden thus provides far-reaching views of the idyllic countryside beyond.

Willow Lake Aylesbury is located just North of Aylesbury town centre, and a 7 minute drive from Aylesbury train station.

Willow Lake Aylesbury offers funerals for a fixed price of £1995 which includes all fees and disbursements. Our price includes all aspects of the funeral; collection from any local hospital or mortuary and care of your loved one until your funeral service, a simple wooden coffin, your chosen celebrant to craft and lead your service at our location, the cremation, and a wooden urn. Your celebrant will meet with you face to face to help you to craft a truly personalised funeral service. The service can be secular or religious and can contain poetry, readings, music, photographs and/or stories as you wish.

3. Let us take care of your loved one

Our team will liaise with the doctors or coroner to ensure all the legal paperwork is completed quickly and efficiently. We will collect your loved one and look after them until the funeral. On the day of the funeral, the coffin will be waiting in the venue.

4. Concentrate on celebrating a life

At the funeral your celebrant will greet you and your guests and then conduct the service according to your wishes.

5. Collect the ashes or scatter them here

The time when a loved one passes on can be a highly emotional and difficult time, full of challenges that without support can feel overwhelming. From the outset I will be there to help and guide you through. By entwining special memories and stories from you loved one’s life along with music, readings, and meaningful gestures you may wish to include. I will write and conduct a service that is a beautiful and fitting tribute to your loved one.

Working as a full time Celebrant, I live in the heart of beautiful Buckinghamshire with my husband of almost 25 years and have two grown daughters. Embracing the skills and experience gained throughout my career, working in customer relations for a large preforming arts school and event management within the education and regional theatre. I achieved a long-held ambition to be a celebrant several years ago when I completed my training and started conducting funeral in and around the Buckinghamshire area.

I genuinely believe that we should personalise these moments in life, and when I conduct a service along with my extensive experience, I bring my own mix of warmth, openness, calm and, if needed, humour to the proceedings.

There are no rules on how to say goodbye when faced with arranging a funeral. My hope is that together we can create a personal and empathetic service which will bring some comfort to those who are grieving. A funeral service gives us the chance to look back and celebrate all the wonderful, ordinary and extraordinary things that your loved one achieved.

Family members or friends are of course very welcome to contribute to the service on the day if they feel able to – we can construct a service that feels right for you and your family with or without any religious elements. Whether it was music, bingo, football or art that enriched the life of the deceased, I will endeavour to let their character shine through and honour the life lived.

I am here to help guide you through the process as smoothly and calmly as possible, and it is my privilege to do so.
